Digital or Analog

If you want to get the most out of your phone, then go for the digital service so that you can have features like email and the Internet. It is clearer and more secure than analog but coverage can be spotty. Just make sure your provider offers a roaming agreement so your phone will work on a analog system if you go outside the digital range.

The superior choice for highly populated areas is the digital standard. This lets more callers occupy space on each of the provider’s cells at one time.  Each one has its own merits that can range from a clearer sound and security protection to reduced background noise. The choice is yours and mobile phone deals can be arranged so that you get what you need.

Digital systems do have their drawbacks. At this time they have a lack of unified technology with a calling area that is small and metropolitan focused. If you phone is digital only and you go to the country occasionally, then you will find that are some areas that will not have coverage.  Digital will not work in remote locations so this is where the analog will make it possible to still make calls if you are in one of these remote locations. Better overall coverage is possible when you phone has both digital and analog systems.
