The web is a great resource for social networking and meeting other Asian singles for love and romance. There are many opportunities for single Asian women and single Asian men to connect through networking and online dating and matchmaking sites, like Match, Yahoo! Personals, Plenty of Fish, and AmericanSingles.
Single Asian guys and girls also go to other niche personals dating sites to find an Asian date, or wife, or husband. Niche sites geared to Jewish singles, Christian singles, Black singles, single parents, gay dating, lesbian dating and senior dating, for example, as well as the general sites, allow Asian singles to easily specify what they’re looking for.
Online dating services also let Asian singles narrow their search to find Asian men or find Asian women from a specific Asian country, with a specific Asian heritage or culture, with a specific Asian religion, or who speak a specific Asian language. If you’re a single Asian and a beginner to online dating and Asian dating personals, you can start by finding an online personals site where you feel comfortable. Ask single Asian friends, relatives or co-workers to recommend an Asian online dating site or another web dating site.

Have you seen attractive single guys or single girls walking down the street but wonder if these are people you’d like to spend time with.

Maybe you strike up a casual conversation at a party with good looking single men or single women but wonder how to know if they are someone you would bring into your life, introduce to your family or have a serious relationships with. We all know that that initial “wow” factor is an important issue for finding online love and your ideal match. Trust your instinct there.

You can usually tell something about someones style, ethnicity, age and sometimes a bit about humor, but it’s tougher to pick up clues about likes, dislikes, ambitions and interests.  When you find women or men that catch your eye at a dating site, emailing can help you narrow down which singles are right for you.  By asking questions about the things that are important to you in a safe, comfortable environment, you can ask in a way to let the man or woman reveal a bit about themselves.

Remember that emailing, like conversation, is more than just words and content, it’s about rhythm and timing too.

OkCupid is a highly entertaining, fun, interactive dating site. It offers features no other dating site offers, OkCupid is the best free dating site currently available.

It’s also extremely accurate, as long as (a) you’re honest, and (b) you know what you are looking for. Membership includes access to all of the OkCupid tools, quizzes and matching features after signing up – which takes about 30 seconds. Some of unique features are:

•A complex matching mechanism that allows members to create quizzes and tests on thousands of different topics;

•Matching based not just on dating potential, but also on a ‘friend’ or ‘enemy’ basis;

•Integration with Facebook so that OkCupid users can place their entire profile, or answers to any of their dating quizzes on their Facebook page;

•A “stalker” feature, which lets you see who has looked at your profile recently. The stalker option, unlike most dating sites, can be turned off at OkCupid as well;

•There are either NO ads or extremely few ads on the site, unlike most free dating sites which are covered with ads;

•The “FlagMod” feature (found under “Fun Stuff”) which lets any user look at photos other users have chosen as not allowed and decide whether or not the photo should be deleted.

eHarmony

Everyone has heard of eHarmony.  It’s a very popular matchmaking site for heterosexuals looking for long term relationships.
Backed by over 35 years of clinical and empirical research, Dr. Neil Clarke Warren transformed the way singles are connected online when he launched eHarmony back in 2000. eHarmony does all of the matching for you, using a compatibility system they’ve created, which is based on numerous scientific studies about love, relationships and compatibility.
Their sign up process takes a bit of time, since there are over 400 questions to answer. But the results are astounding. The personality printouts all users receive, whether or not you pay for the service, are most definitely worth your time and trouble.  There is no search engine, and until recently no way to even see a potential match’s photo before making contact. eHarmony is a Christian dating site, although it doesn’t advertise this fact anymore.
At this time here is a court case pending in California regarding eHarmony and its refusal to allow gays or lesbians to access the service.  eHarmony’s track record is incredible, and their success stories are increasing greatly, with 90 members getting married every single day because of the site.
